It isn't difficult to find a cosmetic dentist, however you won't find anyone quite like Grace Sun. Dr. Sun practices dentistry as an artist, creating all of her own porcelain and other dental restorations in her own in-house dental lab, working with a team of highly trained dental technologists and advanced state of the art equipment.

That means she can create and adjust customized materials to give you the smile you want. No factory can produce a smile more unique and appropriate to you.

Dr. Sun's passion for dental art started over 28 years ago with bonding, finding immediate satisfaction sculpting resin to create the perfect smile for her patients. There were, however, some limitations with the dental bonding material as it is not as durable as porcelain. Stemming from her desire to provide the best dental artistry possible, Dr. Sun extended her education and artistic skills to crafting porcelain veneers and crowns in order to start her own Dental Lab in Los Angeles. She handcrafts each set of veneers and crowns, which are specifically designed for every individual patient.

In December of 2000, Dr. Sun moved her Los Angeles dental lab in-house. Now any changes or adjustments to a patient's veneers or crowns can be made immediately rather than requiring an additional office visit. "I found early in my career that often the biggest challenge is finding a good ceramist," she says. "I feel personally responsible for the final results; I must be personally involved with each step of the dental ceramic process to assure we deliver the ultimate end product. Perfect smiles are lead to satisfaction for both our patients and our dental team, which is why many patients refer their friends and family."

Known in the industry as a perfectionist, Dr. Sun is constantly learning new procedures to incorporate into her dental lab procedures from other established master ceramists and technologists throughout this country, Europe and Asia. By doing so, she stays up-to-date with the latest dental lab trends and advancements in the field and teaching her lab and dental technicians the craft of dental artistry.
